ESSEX COMPACT

Does your organisation work at county level or with county statutory organisations such as Essex County Council. If the answer is yes then check out the Essex Compact at www.essexpartnership.org
The Essex Compact covers statutory-voluntary relationships at the county level and may also be used where two or more districts are involved; district compacts cover issues within districts. If you are involved in county wide processes, or have a grant from the County Council for example, it may be useful to sign up to the County Compact as well as the district one. THEY DO NOT CONFLICT.

If you are already signed up to the Braintree District Local Compact (BDLC) and work only in the Braintree District then the BDLC may be sufficient for your group. If you think that your organisation may benefit by signing up to both and would like more information please contact Judy Cuddeford, BDVSA email judy@bdvsa.org or Yvette Wetton, Essex County Council. e.mail yvette.wetton@essex.gov.uk
